TROOPS 329 & 9329
WHO WE ARE
TroopS 329 and 9329 McCandless are Scouting America units that meet at Memorial Park Church in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. Troop 329 is a male troop and 9329 is a female troop. The capital "S" at the end of TroopS represents the unity of our two groups. We offer a year-round program for youth ages 11 to 17.
We are a Scout-led Troop that believes in the Patrol Method of Scouting. In Scouting, the "patrol method" refers to a system where Scouts are organized into small groups called patrols, each led by a chosen Patrol Leader, allowing them to learn leadership skills, work together as a team, and take responsibility for planning and executing activities within their patrol, rather than relying solely on adult leadership; essentially, it's a way for young people to lead each other within a smaller group setting.
WHAT WE DO
The TroopS are dedicated to instilling Scout values and building character among middle and high school aged youth. Our youth members are active in service, social, athletic, and performance activities across the area and we are always welcoming new members.
